Wonderful, conversational story like your posts always are. What is special about Dewan's coffee? I have been a perennial coffee hunter and after having tried a few brands during this lock down, I do miss my old favorite very much.
I'm not sure they have the WORLD'S BEST coffee or anything, but they are a lovely old-school outfit in a small market and I like that their website divides coffee up by strength and that they do their own mixtures also. Hah, I've never had to explain my love for Dewan's before, but I think it boils down to supporting an old Delhi establishment. Who is your favourite?
I like my coffee pure (untouched by its formidable cousin, chicory). I have tried several brands in India (Costa, Tata, BB, CCD, Araku, etc.), some from US, Sri Lanka, Kenya, and many instant brands but I must admit the pure coffee from CCD is the one I like best. I also prefer my coffee the old fashioned South Indian style with decoction and milk so that narrows down the choice.
The one I pick off the store is called Pea Berry Pure. It is a bit like a monthly ritual like picking up vegetables from your weekly neighborhood market. There is almost a small town feel to the chore.

Really? Because they deliver in my area! Which one would you recommend: Charge, Dark Forest or Arabicah? (I like my coffee very strong though.)
